  • Overview

    The overall responsibility of the Quality Assurance Analyst is to ensure that clinical records from Jefferson Center and staff performing services on behalf of Colorado Crisis Services are in compliance with state and federal regulations. Job duties also include assistance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance and corporate compliance activities by testing data and findings and investing in problem solving. This is to be accomplished through conducting quality assurance review activities and by working closely with members of the Performance, Quality Effectiveness group and agency wide stakeholders.



    • Conduct thorough, consistent clinical record reviews checking for compliance and assuring that the documentation for the services rendered is in full accord with state and federal regulations.
    • Participates in the development of quality improvement and quality control data collection analysis and reporting to the Center employees.
    • Communicate findings by preparing detailed reports and discussing results with associates and managers as needed.
    • Work with the Clinical Quality Manager to execute and develop a comprehensive quality assurance review process based on accuracy, timeliness and providing meaningful feedback.
    • Analyze quality assurance and compliance data to identify trends and errors. Assist with developing and establishing quality assurance standards and measures for Center wide clinical and other standards.
    • Assist with QA data activities related to Medicaid and other payor compliance including monitoring and tracking all corrective action requests.
    • Work with Clinical Quality Manager to create and deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) highlighting clinical record review results, as needed.
    • Construct trainings and learning interventions for staff to enhance compliance and increase awareness.



    Other Duties:

    • Develop and maintain competence in corporate compliance and related performance improvement methods, and clinical record review/auditing.
    • Maintain strong customer relations through attention to timely completion of tasks and a cooperative approach to project planning and activities.
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with other team members and outside agencies.
    • Actively participate in team meetings and work groups.
    • Have an understanding of how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that any interaction with clients is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of retraumatization.
    • As required, participate in the Center’s training/educational programs designed to enhance knowledge about Trauma Informed Care, the impact of trauma and trauma recovery.
    • Ensure that interaction with clients and other Jefferson Center employees supports the principles of trauma informed care.
    • Other duties, as assigned.

    • Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, public health, education, public policy or other related field that required development of quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills. A bachelor’s degree and three years of work-related experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
    • Clinical Licensure preferred but not required
    • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, corporate compliance, data monitoring quality assurance activities and conduct clinical audits
    • Possess critical thinking skills and demonstrate self-motivation; actively and skillfully conceptualize, apply, analyze, and evaluate information gathered from, or generated by, observation, research or communication, as a guide to drive curiosity and productivity
    • At minimum, an intermediate level of skill in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with experience working under pressure with precision and accuracy
    • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Access data bases, SQL and presentation software for data analysis and evaluation calculations
