  • Overview

    Jefferson Center’s Residential Counselor will work within the home environment of Jewell Place, our resident’s home. You will work with clients on a short term basis assisting them in their recovery, building trust and support as they transition from the residential facility.  You will support our residents by providing protective oversight, medication monitoring and care for residents.   You will be an active team member, ready to jump in to support our residents’ activities of daily living with your ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently, leveraging your intuition, innovation, and strong initiative, ensuring high levels of care are achieved.   This is a short term, intensive care environment; you will be the boots on the ground for residents with their recovery.


    What you will do:

    • Establish trusting relationships that support residents, teammates and community partner relationship
    • Collaborate with residents, family members, and others to identify strengths and needs in developing personal treatment goals
    • Actively assist residents in referral process to clinical and community services, including follow-up
    • Work on the ground level with residents promoting Jefferson Center’s values, goals and culture that is representative of the quality of care we provide

    • Skilled, quick relationship builder who can provide direct positive care for residents, and maintain community partner relationships acting as a liaison with community agencies, service providers and support systems
    • A creative professional who is able to motivate residents to be an active participant in their path to recovery, in way that supports a culture of wellness and their right to self-determination
