  • Overview

    Jefferson Center is currently searching for dedicated, qualified, credentialed professionals to fill the position of Substance Use Mental Health Clinician.  This important position will be full-time making a difference in the lives of adults dealing with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders who are ages 22-59 years.  This is done by providing individual and group psychotherapy, case management and service coordination.  The ideal candidate will provide services to those who are on Medicaid, Medicare, and limited uninsured and private insurance. Our position is onsite at our Lakewood, West Colfax office. 


    We are looking for enthusiastic, highly committed and team oriented individuals, with exceptional clinical skills to work with our clients.


    What you will do

    • Provide evidence-based care to individuals and groups with a whole person approach
    • Play an essential role in promoting and maintaining a healthy, trauma-informed, and therapeutic treatment setting that allows the recovery process to occur within the individual
    • Complete intake, screening, assessments, and initial engagement strategies with clients in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and agency policies
    • Facilitates and/or co-facilitates Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient groups with other members of the team
    • Work collaboratively with clients to create individualized treatment and discharge plans
    • Develops and maintains collegial relationships with the clinical teams and supervisors from the various departments
    • Candidate must have strong verbal, written, organizational and communication skills. Computer proficiency required to use electronic health record.

    What We Require

    • Current Colorado Licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT
    • Current CAC II, III or LAC
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders
    • Positive and energetic individual to work independently to provide diagnosis, treatment planning, psychotherapeutic intervention, documentation, communication, and coordination with other treating professionals
