    Jefferson Center for Mental Health is now hiring for an Assistant Supervisor – CACIII or LAC role. Jefferson Center is looking for someone who is a team player with a positive attitude who can keep their eyes on their goals while assisting in the day-to-day operations and remain punctual with acceptable attendance. The ideal candidate is also someone who can prioritize, multi-task and respond to phone calls and emails in a timely manner.

     

    The Assistant Supervisor – CACIII or LAC assists the Program Coordinator in specific administrative duties, as well as having clinical and supervisory responsibilities on the unit. The Assistant Supervisor – CACIII or LAC helps to support other Coordinators in fulfilling programmatic goals. The Assistant Supervisor must be able to interact in a positive and productive manner with all clients while also being able to maintain safety, stability and the ability to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations with clients when needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide medication monitoring procedures in accordance with the written procedures.
    • Complete daily shift reports as well as adverse incident reports (AIR’s), refusal and medical screening documentation in accordance with procedures in a timely manner.
    • Makes decisions regarding client appropriateness for admission, discharge or transfer to a higher level of care as well as ensuring client safety.
    • Provide group supervision to employees for clinical development and CAC certification.
    • Oversee, monitor and coordinate EC/IC process.
    • Coordinates all Outreach Van assignments during shift. 
    • Monitors and documents client levels of intoxication, withdrawal status, vital signs, physical condition and behavior, as needed.
    • Rotate in the coordination of 24/7 on-call phone consultation.
    • Assist Program Coordinator in employee screening, interviews, reference checks, job previews and completing hiring paperwork.
    • Assist staff in completing credentialing packets in a timely manner.
    • Review and co-sign clinical documentation for feedback.
    • Review staff notes as assigned for continuity and completion.
    • Oversee, monitor and coordinate EC/IC process.
    • Assist Program Coordinator in employee screening, interviews, reference checks, job previews and completing hiring paperwork.
    • Assist staff in completing credentialing packets in a timely manner.
    • Perform the Shift Coordinator duties or line staff duties as needed.
    • Supervise staff and client activities on assigned shift and provide assigned monthly administrative supervision to staff.
    • Coordinate treatment referrals for clients motivated to seek on-going treatment. 
    • Coordinates all Outreach Van assignments during shift. 
    • Monitor and document client’s level of intoxication, withdrawal status, vital signs, physical condition and behavior, as needed.
    • Rotate in the coordination of 24/7 on-call phone consultation.
    • Track staff hours and unit spending to remain within payroll budget allocations.

    Qualifications

    • Certification of Addictions Counselor III (CAC III) OR License of Addiction Counselor (LAC).
    • Master’s Degree in a related field of study (Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, etc.)
    • 2 years of supervisory experience
    • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
    • Valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets agency requirements.
    • Must meet Corporate Compliance including documentation on practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and clinical guidelines.
    • Attend Critical Incident Reviews (CIR) as designated by the Supervisor or CIR team
    • Attends mandatory in-services, staff meetings, clinical supervision, and on-line training as required.
    • Must be able to administer blood pressure assessments, utilizing blood pressure cuffs.
    • On Call duties as assigned.
