  • Overview



    Under the direct supervision of the Adult Intensive Services Manager, the Lead Van Driver is responsible for the oversight of the transportation department, including the efficient management of scheduling of maintenance, cleaning and coordination of consumer rides, supervision of staff and ensuring timely delivery of mail, interoffice mail as well as tacking all recorders pertaining to all agency vehicles.


    • Coordinate driver schedules, including all consumer pick-up and drop-off rides, lab appointments, M.D. appointments, prescription drop-offs, etc.
    • Coordinate other transportation requests with agency departments as necessary
    • Oversee/ facilitate van maintenance and upkeep
    • Track and report routine or scheduled maintenance
    • Track and report non-routine maintenance
    • Track and report repairs
    • Track and report Safety Issues (tires, seat belts, etc.)
    • Track and report Cleaning
    • Track and report maintain mileage logs
    • Track and report monitor van check-out and usage
    • Supervision of and communication with van drivers
    • Provide transportation for consumers as necessary
    • Assist with delivery of inter-office mail as necessary
    • Provide suggestions, solutions and/or corrective measures to ensure efficiency, cost effectiveness, with internal and external customer service goals in mind
    • Represent drivers in assigned meetings or groups
    • Attention to customer service orientation for the department


    Other Duties:

    • Attend mandatory in-services, compliance with individualized training plan if required
    • Participate in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda
    • Appropriate professional standards and provides appropriate follow-up for consumers
    • Exhibit enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment
    • Maintain effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public
    • Effectively respond to client/consumer needs and problems, initiate and maintain positive interactions, timely response to phone calls, pages, email and other requests
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Proof of valid Colorado driver’s license
    • Proof of Motor Vehicle Report in good standing
    • Ability to lift 15 lbs.
    • Must be 25 years old or older
    • Strong organization, prioritization and communication skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook and Excel
    • Experience with inventory or fleet management software, systems or tools
