  • Overview



    Full-time position to work collaboratively with the Director of Substance Use services for the oversight and coordination of all substance use and/or mental health and co-occurring substance use services at Jefferson Center. To oversee training, supervision and credentialing of Withdrawal Management staff. To oversee programming, documentation, site credentialing, audits, etc. related to Withdrawal Management services and other assigned substance use services across the Center.


    • Provide clinical and administrative oversite of the Withdrawal Management, Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient substance use disorder programming as assigned. 
    • Provide oversight of CAC training, supervision and credentialing to ensure staff meet and maintain requirements for credentialing.
    • Provide oversight of documentation, site credentialing and billing requirements in accordance with FBHP and OBH regulations.
    • Assist Director and Chief Financial Officer in the oversight of the Signal Contract, as well as contracts with local hospitals, municipalities, and other funding sources.
    • Assist Director and Information System staff in the monitoring and uploading of required data to Signal (DACOD, Client Demographics and WM services).
    • Assists the Director to represent the Center in the community including memberships on task forces, committees, workgroups and other collaborative endeavors; assist the Director in developing positive working relationships with key stakeholders and providing routine data updates.
    • As content expert on Withdrawal Management services, provide consultation and assistance with expanding programming and services, entering new documentation into the EHR, and assisting with annual FBHP and OBH audits.
    • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to the Program Coordinator of the Withdrawal Management program as well as AOP CAC Clinicians to ensure that the day-to-day operations comply with all regulatory requirements. 
    • Sharing knowledge of recovery-based, stages-of-change, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, episode-of-care, trauma informed and culturally competent treatment.
    • Complete performance evaluations and Employee Contribution Records (ECR) for staff assigned by the Director.
    • Assist in the coordination of care to ensure all consumers are assessed for the appropriate levels of care and linked to on-going services. Coordinate the services provided at the Withdrawal Management site with other services offered by the Center including crisis services, other substance use/co-occurring and mental health treatment services and resources to support recovery. Develop approaches to improve client engagement in needed ongoing services and utilization of internal/external resources.
    • Maintain responsibility for special projects and generate specific data reports and outcome data as determined by Director.
    • Coordinate 24/7 on-call phone consultation. Responsibility is shared between Manager, Program Coordinator and Shift Coordinators. 
    • Oversight of the Adverse Incident Reporting (AIR) procedures. Review and process all AIR related to the Withdrawal Management unit and OP/IOP CAC clinicians. Attend Critical Incident Reviews (CIR) as designated by the Director or CIR team.
    • Effectively respond to the client/consumer needs and problems, initiate and maintain positive interactions, timely response to phone calls, email and other requests.

    • Participate on various interagency committees as requested by Director.
    • Participate in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Report high risk/problem cases using a problem solving approach as well as feedback.  Monitor, coach, and direct clinical team on implementing strategies to reach performance measurement benchmarks.
    • Attends mandatory in-services, staff meetings, clinical supervision, and on-line training as required.
    • Participate in staff development activities that enhance professional growth
    • Maintain effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public. Use language and behavior to promote dignity and respect.
    • Corporate Compliance including documentation on practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and clinical guidelines.Exhibit enthusiasm, respect, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in 
    • the work environment.
    • Have an understanding of how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of retraumatization.
    • Participate in the Center’s training/educational programs designed to enhance knowledge about Trauma Informed Care, the impact of trauma and trauma recovery.
    • Ensure that delivery practices are guided by the principles of trauma informed care and the principles of addiction treatment.

    Master’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, or social work).  CAC III or LAC required.   LPC, LCSW, LMFT or comparable license required, plus four or more year’s related experience and/or training.  Supervisory experience required.  Experience in Withdrawal Management (Detox) as well as integrated health and/or community mental health setting preferred.
